These sessions are so much fun!! I love interacting with families, and exploring all the different dynamics that make you family so unique. They are also a great opportunity to play with themed sessions and wardrobe. Family sessions go best if they are planned well in advance, so we can really get together on all the details, but if you are like me (Mrs. Procrastinator) no worries! I work well under pressure! Things to keep in mind:
-Young ones best time of day: Toddlers and young children who are still napping sometimes do better at morning sessions (think right after sunrise for the best light) I know that is early but I know its much easier on everyone to have a smiley/happy child than a cranky/tired one
-Wardrobe: Amp it up! Wear something a bit dressier than day to day wear. Get with me on this as soon as you book and we'll coordinate together. There is no need to match! Little Sandy have a favorite crown she likes to wear all the time? Little Johnny have a favorite super-man cape? Bring them along! You'll want to remember these things down the road and they make for the *best* portraits :)
Family sessions are meant to be a unique representation of who *your* family is as a whole, and meant to showcase your love for one another. I do my up most to make this a fun day for all involved(including Dad!) No stuffiness allowed!
