This was a dream session for me. Photography and horses? You got me right there in heaven! Little Hailey could not have been prettier or sweeter. I'll take about 1,000 more of these sessions, please. :)

What a sweetie this little guy was. Took about an hour to get him good and conked out (all the more
reason for me to get in some snuggles) but once he was asleep, I don't think a freight train could have stirred him! I hope to see a lot more of this handsome man in the future.

Mr. Luke {Baxley, GA Childrens Photographer}
This little man stole my heart!! His family has the most gorgeous property to photograph on and we had so much fun riding around and trying out different spots. His mama is as sweet as can be and I can't wait to take some photos of them together soon!

Norah June is 1 year old!!! {Statesboro Childrens Photographer}
I feel like it was just yesterday I was learning that Norah was on her way, and it really *was* yesterday that I was there with family and friends celebrating her first birthday. To say that Norah has brought a lot of joy to this family would be to say the very least, it is so obvious that this is one very, very loved little girl! And how can you not?? With that infectious grin and those kaleidoscope eyes! Norah was a joy to photograph, as always. I think I probably had more fun than she did!! Always easy to provide a smile, and I loved that she was so curious about my camera-- so much so that she even crawled into my lap! (allowing me to get some great detail shots) Her sessions always fly by, I just feel like I'm hanging out and playing around :) I'm so, so lucky that I met her mama Alexis and that I get to call her my friend. It means a lot when someone trusts you enough to be a guinea pig, even more that she trusted me again to capture Norah at a year old. As Evy is rapidly approaching this age, I know that these images will represent a time in her life that her parents wish would slow down, even for just a minute. Childhood stages are precious and fleeting, and I feel so privileged that I get to watch her grow up through my lens. Happy Birthday Norah June!!

The Taylors {Statesboro Children's Photographer}
Hello there!! Welcome to my new blog devoted solely to Sixpence Photography! So far, I've had such a great response that I've decided to give this a real go and give Sixpence the blog it deserves. I'll be keeping the Awkward Apron open, mainly to chronicle my adventures in mother/housewifery. Anyway, without further ado I'd like to introduce my first bog-abouts: The Taylors. Alexis is my hair stylist. I refer to her as my hair guru. Literally, I could write on and on about how long it has taken me to be able to sit down in a stylist chair and just say, "whatever you think!" But we'll leave the past mishaps with home color and (eek!) scissors to the Awkward Apron. Cut to present- not only is she pretty much my hair soulsister, she is also my friend. We used to always tease each other about getting pregnant. Every time I would walk in we'd ask each other if we were and for about two years it was always a resounding "NO!!" And then that little stinker had to go and beat me to it. (4months later I was in the same boat) Which brings me to Norah. Seriously this kid is cute. Like stare at her all day cute. The cheeks, and those eyes!! She reminds me of a precious moments (remember those?) drawing. And just so sweet. Anyhoo, I was beyond excited to photograph them mainly because this family is so darn attractive(and stylish!!!), an secondly just because I like em a whole, whole lot. I know you will too!
